Mount Dajti National Park
This 3300 hectare forested mountain park is located about 25 kilometers east of Albania's capital city of Tirana. Albanian locals visit the park on weekends to get away from the city for hiking, picnics, and skiing in winter. There is are several restaurants in the park and while most people make visiting the park a day trip, lodging is available in the area. Visitors either drive to the National Park or take the Dajti Express Aerial Cable car to the top of Mount Dajti. Animals in the park include bears, wild cats, wolves, boars, foxes, rabbits.
