Golden Sands Beach Resort
Largest beach resort on the northern Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria.
Located about 19 kilometers northeast of the city of Varna
near (adjacent to?) Golden Sands National Park. The beaches
of Golden Sands are surrounded by forested hills.
The beach at Golden Sands is about 3.5 kilometers long and as wide
as 100 meters in some places. Average summer temperatures
are 27 to 30 degrees C (80 to 85 degrees F).
Development of the Golden Sands resort began in 1957.
Recreational facilities include a yacht marina, a horseback riding school,
spas, casinos, shopping centers, and the Aquapolis Water Park.
