Its water column pressure periodically pushes hot water to a height of 18 meters. Shipkovo Hot SpringsVillage in the Troyan Blakan Mountains with hot springs known for their sulphate and calcium composition and temperatures ranging fronm 18 to 35 degrees C. Varshetz Hot SpringsLocated at the western foot of the Western Balkan Mountains, about 90 kilometers from Sofia. It is the oldest spa resort in Bulgaria. Velingrad Hot SpringsSmall mountain town with more then 90 mineral water springs. Known as "Spa Capital of the Balkins". The water in its mineral springs is typically between 28 and 91 degrees C. The area features mineral baths, swimming pools, beaches, health resorts, and spa hotels. The hottest water is in the Kamenitsa residential section. That area has the largest karst spring in Bulgaria: Kleptuza, which has feeds two ponds next to a separate recreation area with water wheels. Located in the Rhodope Mountains.
