Leinster Province
Province in the east central region of Ireland Island with 12 counties and a population greater then 2.5 million.

Munster Province
Province in the southeast region of Ireland Island with 6 counties and a population greater then 1.2 million.

Connacht Province
Province in the west central region of Ireland Island with 5 counties and a population greater then 540,000.

Ulster Province
Province in the northern region of Ireland Island with 9 counties and a population greater then 2.1 million. Note that only 3 of the countyies inthe Ulster province are in the Republic of Ireland. The remaining 6 are in the United Kingdom region of Ireland Island that is known as Northern Ireland.
