Olympic Committee of Kosovo
The Olympic committe of Kosovo was established by the Law on Sport of the Constitutional Framework for Provisional Self-Government in Kosovo that was developed by international legal experts and signed in May of 2001 by the United Nations Administrative Mission in Kosovo.

BBC News article explaining why Kosovo-born judo expert Majlinda Kelmendi and other Kosovo athletes were not able to participate in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London because although Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia in 2008, and and as of as of 2012 it was reconized by nearly half of the 193 United Nations member countries, as of the Summer of 2012 it was not yet recognzied by the International Olympic Committee.
