Bays on Comino Island
Blue Lagoon of Comino Island
Offshore lagoon with turquoise water and a sandy bottom.
Popular destination for water sports and day trippers
from Malta Island and Gozo Island. During the middle of
the day during the warm months beach concessions and snack
bars are set up and the lagoon can be crowded with
day trippers and tour boats from Malta and Gozo Islands.
If you are staying at the Island's only hotel you can
visit the lagoon in the morning before all of those
visitors arrive. The blue Lagoon is located on the northwest
coast of Comino Island, across from the Cominoto Islet.

Imperial Eagle Ferry Wreck
The Imperial Eagle served as a ferry between Malta and Gozo
until it was scuttled in 1999. Measuring 45m long, there is
the possibility of penetrating the wreck but more time should
be spent on the flying bridge. Before reaching the wreck, we
prefer to stop and visit the statue of Jesus Christ and take
some photos. Very possible to enter into a bit of decompression
time on this dive, thus recommended only to those with low air
consumption
Lantern Point
This dive starts at The Chimney, a tunnel that takes us from 5m to 18m.
Here we’ll encounter various large boulders with lots of marine life a
round them, mainly groupers, morray eels and lobsters. Being in the channel
between Malta and Comino, strong currents may be present here.
Santa Marija Caves
A maze of caves, tunnels and abanduncy of sea bream make this dive
Comino’s best. We will start the dive by feeding the sea-bream
and take the opportunity for some great photography. We will then
enter the most easterly cave and upon return we will start discovering
the adjacent interconnecting caves. A paradise for photographers,
these caves will take us to the other side of the inlet where we’ll
find a pinnacle at 18m. Return to the boat is either through the
caves once again or by circunavigating the reef.
P31 Wreck
A recently scuttled wreck part of a project undertaken by the Malta
Tourism Authority to further promote scuba diving in Malta. An ideal
second dive option when visiting Comino.
