About Balea Lake
Balea Lake is a glacier lake located in Sibiu County, in the Fagaras Mountains of Central Romania, at an elevation of about 2034 meters. It an be reached during the summer months by driving on the Transfagarasan road and during the rest of the year by cable car from the Balea Cascada Chalet. Facilities include two year-round chalets, a meteorological station, and a mountain rescue station
