LOCATION: Ala Moana Park, Honolulu, Oahu Island
DESCRIPTION: 100 competitors started the race and 27 year old swimming instructor Dave Scott of Davis, California fiinished first with a time of 9 hours and 24 minutes beating the race record by nearly two hours.
