STATUS AFTER 2023 WILDFIRE:
On August 8th, 2023 three-story-tall flames from the Kula Gulch wildfire severely damaged the property. One building burned entirely to the ground while the cafe and guest cottages were left standing but inoperable. In 1989, Herbert and Alberta Loui moved from Oahu to Maui and invested their life savings the restaurant and inn. It was their livelihood then, and it has continued to be the livelihood of their children, Eleanor Worth, her husband Jamie Worth and Monica Loui.
